Meet Olivia Currie - General Practitoner

WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT HSC?

I am a family and lifestyle medicine doctor. Whilst I enjoy all aspects of general practice, I have experience in child health, women's health, oncology, palliative care and lifestyle medicine.

I have qualifications as a fellow of the RNZCGP, fellow of the ASLM and postgraduate diplomas in Child Health and General Practice.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE?

I really enjoy people, food and travels! I like it even more when it's in combination!

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT IN THE BUSINESS?

Many of my consults are advocating for your health and health improvement. This can be from navigating the health system to enabling you to regain health so you may live your life to the fullest. I particularly like how HSC is collaborative in its services for your health needs.

THREE THINGS THAT REPRESENT YOU.

Family, health and future.

DO YOU HAVE ANY AREAS OF SPECIALTY?

At HSC, I offer general medical care for people of all ages and am holistic and patient-centred in my approach. I have skills in minor surgery and gynaecological procedures including Mirena insertion.

Lifestyle medicine is my main specialty, and I use this to help people improve health through what they do every day already - eating, drinking, sleeping, moving, thinking and connecting. These are integrated in my day-to-day practice but I offer specialised consults and health improvement programmes at Real Healthy Me.

I look forward to helping you be the best you can be.
